THE BRAND
Ebony Racquel LLC was established in 2016 and truly started off as a hobby. My hobby quickly turned into my passion as I have always been drawn to and intrigued by fashion and things that were different. This was the basis for how I started to curate my designs and set myself apart from others. In 2017 I was working a fulltime job, in school fulltime and a mom of 3 so there wasn’t much time for Ebony Racquel LLC. COVID was a very different time for everyone but personally it gave me the opportunity to get back to all of the things that I am really passionate about. When I initially started, I was making masks since that was something that was an immediate need for literally everyone, but I did it “my way”. I used all kinds of different fabrics and unique designs and even learned how to sew on a sewing machine in the process. Moving on from face masks I started making custom phone cases and business continued to pick up rapidly.
I then decided that customizing “things” could be something that not only brought me a lot of personal gratification and joy but established me as a brand. I started to experiment by making other things such as custom cups, shoes, jackets, you name it…..I tried it and was successful at it. In 2020 I feel that my brand was solidified as I opened my own storefront along with my daughter Racquel who has her own brand named “Pretty Little Rose”. It was one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done.

As we all know life has a way of happening …...and after getting married in 2021, having a beautiful honeymoon in Jamaica, getting my dream truck and us also buying our first house together disaster struck. I was involved in a car accident the day before my husband’s 40th birthday and totaled my truck. I was injured in the wreck and had to have rotator cuff surgery among other things. This sent me spiraling into a deep depression that had me feeling things that I had never dreamed of.

Present day, I am so thankful for all the trials and the journey that bought me to where I am today. I have never been clearer about my goals and what I want out of life. My priority has become to expand Ebony Racquel LLC and truly become a known brand. I handmake all my products with my client’s vision in mind along with my own touch of uniqueness and style.
